The National Gallery will bring to Costa Ricans original works of prominent artists Pablo Picasso, Andy Warhol, Henri Matisse and Pierre-Auguste Renoir, among others, as part of the Heritage Art Exposition.
In total, 158 are creations of various periods, including some with more than 1,500 years old, all belong to the private collection Bimelo.
The public opening will be on April 28 and will remain on display until June 28.
“We want to make a very interactive exhibition. Our target audience is families and children. But the exhibition is for everyone, art lovers will delight in works that we rarely have, “said Sebastian Mello.

This exhibition is part of the 20th anniversary of the Costa Rican Center of Science and Culture, a complex that also houses the Children’s Museum.
